Book Review: The Moment it Clicks

MIC It might be that I’m the last photo blogger on the planet to cover Joe McNally’s The Moment it Clicks.

Bottom line – I really enjoyed this book.  It’s funny, insightful, and follows McNally around on assignment over the last few decades – including those gigs he had with National Geographic, Time, Sports Illustrated, and Life.  Each two page layout is essentially its own section – making this an easy book to squeeze into your schedule.

It’s something like 240 pages of “Hey, wish you were here” postcards combined with great behind-the-scenes glimpses into problem solving, how the picture was shot, job realities, and some pretty funny stories.

Good photography, entertaining, and educational ––– that pretty much hits for the cycle – making this an easy book to recommend.
