First – a big “thanks” to all the folks that have reviewed and linked to Camera47 this last week – including Scott Kelby, Matt Kloskowski over at Photoshop User TV, 1001 Noisy Cameras, and the nice folks over at Blackrapid.
And speaking of Blackrapid – get over there and check out the new RS-4 which looks like it will start shipping in early December. If I’m reading this correctly – it will be very similar to the RS-1 (lightweight and low profile) but it will include a small zip pocket to store a couple of cards.
OK – the BMW R1200GS and Smith Loop Road. It was Jeff’s new ride on a hot August day and a lot of “Hey, can you ride that curve one more time?” I’m very thankful that Patagonia makes some sweet synthetic shirts.
Something different about this shoot – that I’ve only done with this shoot – is that I tried to capture reasonably fast action using RAW instead of JPG. I had my reasons at the time – but, as you might imagine, on the 20D, it wasn’t writing to the card very fast. And the lens? The 70-200 f/4L.
